Many apologies, Where is Fjord?!

I'm so sorry that I didn't get to suggest including the fjord as a series of coastal projections before the entry was finalised!?
How could we leave out Slartibartfast's favorite crinkly, coastal feature?
Why, if 'FordsTowel' hadn't been an available researcher name, I would have been forced to go with FjordsTowel!
Great job, though. Thanks for the great entry!

Thanks Fords
Although undoubtedly a coastal feature, I thought a fjord was more of an inlet rather than a projection? What do you think?

Actually, I'm sure you're correct, that the fjords are the actual inlets created by glacial activity. I guess I've always associated the 'crinkly bits' between fjords to be part of the fjord system of Norway.
I wonder what to DO call the projections between fjords?
