It is known among the european astronomers that messier confirmed in a letter to a freind that this was in fact a duplicate entry. most americans won't even consider this explanation, and insist that it is the object in draco. STRANGE of them.

Did you read the bit about M102?
The part about it being a duplicate is listed first! *AND*, you got credit for adding that bit to the entry. The information that some people speculate that the object is in Draco is listed for information because there is a bit of controversy about this. I don't know why you keep beating this dead horse!

because it is an issue that crops up every time a european astronomer talks to an american one, so that part needs to be mentioned! 
Both sides seem absolutely convinced that their side is right, and the way it says it at the moment doesn't reflect that. It is a destinctly european vs american viewpoint, likethe problem with genetically modified food.
