"Strip" and a pun?

Oddly, one of my first musical memories is listening to "Strip" when it aired on MTV, back in the day. Because of this, it was only later that I realized that "Strip" was, by Adam Ant's standards, a minor hit. Now, it seems appropriate to put it in the same category as "Boom, Boom, Boom" and, far more recently, "Bad Touch."
Is anything to be made of the possible pun of "Adam Ant" and "adamant," or is that just a happy coincidence?
