A Conversation for Alan Turing - Computer Scientist

Turing and Neural Networks

Post 1

Alan Turing had such an insightful, creative mind (and was so uninterested in publicizing or publishing his work) that researchers are still finding interesting things in his papers.

Turing was actually one of the first people to consider computing devices that would later be called 'neural networks'. However, since he didn't tell anyone, this wasn't known until recently.

Mr Prophet (General Purpose Genre Guru)

He is one of the founding fathers of machine learning (including neural networks), and recognised that an intelligent machine would necessarily be fallible.

He also suggested the use of a telepathy-proof room as a precaution when performing the Turing Test. A man of true greatness.

The Prophet.
