A Conversation for Queensland, Australia
Loved the place!

Me and my lot adored the little bits of Queensland we got to see - Brizzie is a particularly lovely city: my son reckoned it had the hills of San Francisco, the skyscrapers of new York, and the palm tress of Miami. We also loved how it embraced the river - many boats almost like buses plying up and down, and fancy steam boats offering fab seafood dinners...ah, happy memories.

I gotta admit outside of Sydney (my home town) Brizzie is my favorite Aussie city.
I spent a few months living in Coolangatta just south of Brizzie and some time in Brizzie itself and it definately is a city with a 'town' attitude and that's a huge plus for the place. Very laid back and just so open and airy. I have some really fond memories of staying in the YHA there and making some great mates.
BTW the big pineapple isn't the only 'big' thing in Australia, they have the Big Banana in Coff's Harbor and the Big Sheep near Woolongong. There's also also a Big Clam, Big Prawn and a few others dotted around the country
