Swift Autumn Sunsets (UG)

Official UnderGuide Entry

She lives in the swift autumn sunsets,

When earth and sky glow red and gold.

She lives in transition,

In moments of potential,

Between this disappointing reality and the next.

"There are so many places to live, so many people to know,

So many things I could be," she says,

"Why choose only a few?"

So she leaves and returns,

But she is never the same twice.

She lives in the swift autumn sunsets,

Transitions to cold and dark.

"25," she says,

"How soon we begin to die."

She laughs at my reaction.

She laughs in transition,

Stopping in one life only until the tears,

Then moves on to the next,

Not choosing where she goes,

Like a dry leaf in the wind.
