It means you can buy a steak the size of a house at the Butcher's Shop resturant in Sandton Square for fiver. A novel experience for those used to paying £ 15 for a piece of meat the size of a postage stamp in London.
Tip: Beware accepting wine suggested the waiters - if they think you are a tourist (and your clarity of language, sense of style and lack of tan will easily mark you as such, they will fob off a ZAR 250 (£25)bottle of (very nice) plonk on you.
Also - visit Montecasino in Fourways. A monument to conspicuous consumption the equal of anything Las Vegas has to offer.
