I was in the Virgin lounge at Heathrow a month or two ago and saw these two guys sitting opposite one another, talking.
I couldn't understand why they were being so rude. They obviously knew one another well, because the conversation was strewn with comments to that effect, but each was talking over the other and just plain ignoring what they were saying.
It took me a while to realise that they were having two separate mobile phone conversations using hands-free kits and the fact that they were sitting as though conversing was just a coincidence.
Very strange.
