Peoples Democratic Republic of Birmingham!

I am a Brummie and proud of it: so much so that I startedto use the phrase "Peoples Democratic Republic of Birmingham" in conversation when trying to prove that we were distinct from the North or South and proud of our own heritage.
Well... then things started to snowball, and I found myself checking to see if the domain name had been registered by anyone else.. and rather unsurprisingly it hadn't - so I took it pretty sharpish and then placed my ramblings online at:

This is all a bit of fun - but is intended to illustrate a serious point: I am sick and tired of all the jokes about Birmingham and it's accent: we are proud to be Brumiies, darn it!!
