I too am a big fan of potato for warming people up after fireworks. I use the festive occasion as an excuse for 'Deep Fried Potato Skins'

- Bake the potatoes for an hour (as normal) - I do this before we go to the display - that way they are cool enough to pick up when

- you cut them in half & scoop out most of their insides.

- deep fry in hot oil until rustling & golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.

- sprinkle with cheese, salt & sour cream (plus bacon bits if liked)

Yummy.

Mulled wine is also useful for warming the toes. smiley - fairy
