You can put it in a wormery, as long as it's not mixed with anything else. I've just ordered two. smiley - biggrinsmiley - dog

Yes, you 'can', I agree. But I think I'll continue to use my dog poo digester smiley - 2cents

I couldn't face digging another couple of holes. Essex gets so litle rain it's just too hard for me to dig down that far now, so went for the wormeries.

Plus my decomposter was trodden on/in by my dopey brother and the lid is all warped and doesn't fit anymore, and the top section now seems to be wandering off. smiley - sadface

Mine has been going 2 or 3 years now, I think, with no bother smiley - smiley.

However, earlier this year the water wasn't draining away quickly enough on the 'once a month' when I have to flush it through. I was afraid that it might be because the stones were all clogged/silted up, although I thought this unlikely after just 2-3 years. An alternative was that the digester was blocked at the drainage holes. I am too squeemish to clear this manually smiley - yuk so I've let naturte take iots course.

I flushed it through and replenished the chemical digester just this morning (coincidence) and, happily, it flushed through quite rapidly. I think the warm weather we've had has allowed the microbes to do this business smiley - oksmiley - smiley

Mine's been in place around 5 years I think. I'd stopped using it earlier this year as I couldn't keep up with it (too much poo!), and it's now below the holes in the top half. So many tiger worms in it, I don't want to flush it and drown them!

I scooped a bit out for one of the wormeries, to give it a good start, but wasn't going to be carrying *that* through the house to the one in the front garden.

Hopefully next year the three bits of kit will cope with everything! If not and the wormeries are working well, I'll have a go at building my own. Well, I'll find a handyman to build me one of each (and dig the hole!).
