Alpha centuri A a Alpha centuri B are in binary orbit. Alpha centuri C or Alpha Proximeter is not in orbit and weather it is even part of the system anymore is arguable.

Current thinking is that A and B go around each other, and C (Proxima)goes around the other two at a great distance.
