(Mar 30, 2006)I've been away in RL for a bit and managed to forget about the joys of HooToo. I've now had my epiphany and wandered back like a lost sheep, prodigal son or bad penny (or any other metaphor for things returning that you can think of) I've been busy changing my incredibly tedious office job for the unsure and challanging life of a student Mental Health Nurse. This involves a lot less money and far more thinking than I'm used to. It's a shock to be writting essays again, thought I'd left all of that behind me. I dunno where time has gone these past couple o years. A lot of it's gone up in smoke if ya catch my drift? Anyway, I hope I'll be around a bit more from now, I missed ther madness that's H2G2! This apparantely means fat little b@stard in Welsh. My Dad translated it for me so the acuracy is questionable. I'm still forgetting and calling him Gwaii, and Helen my housemate calls him Pudding so I wouldn't be suprised if he ends up with a split personality disorder. Tew is fighting The Otak and Hoeg with great fury. He really hates other ferrets as much as he loves people. As Tew is such a fat little thing Otak and Hoeg are able to out run him and so they get a respite from fighting. They've all got scabby necks from ferret wrestling holds - teeth so sharp! They are fighting a bit less as time goes on, so hopefully it will all get sorted out in the end. Otherwise, the lovely J is still lighting up my life and I'm really quite happy at the moment. He's such a nice friendly guy!Oh well, Im sure it will all go wrong sooner or later //start pessimism... His name's Gwaii but I might change it to Nemerle to fit in with my Wizard of Earthsea names of Otak ang Hoeg. I might make him double baralled; Nemerle-Gwaii or Gwaii-Nemerle? Other than that the news from weezel land has been all to do with fleas! Ick, nasty little things! I spent much of last night trying to coax the ferts to stay still so that I could rub evil smelling liquid through their fur. They weren't best impressed! and then I cleaned their ears, so it was ferret tourture evening. I talked to my neighbour's parents this morning, they are visiting from New Zealand . They were quite suprised to see ferrets kept as pets as in NZ ferrets kill the new born lambs. They were shocked that Otak and Hoeg are so gentle and tame. I suddenly became aware that I hadn't seen Hoeg for a while and so I had a look around for him. I spotted him on the previously ignored windowsill a second before he looked directly at me and then launched himself out of the window! I nearly had a heart attack! Luckily he landed on the flat roof below so only dropped a metre or so. The other side of the window the drop is straight to the patio a whole storey below. Ferrets really are silly blighters! Its a paradox that they are so intelligent and yet so daft at the same time! My window will now be closed all the time and I'll never take it forgranted that just because they've ignored soemthing for now doesn't mean that they always will.
