This announcement is a good idea.
Even though you are announcing that you don't make announcements here. Isn't it the Page Intentionally Left Blank syndrome?

You know that Magritte worked as a fire marshall? When he announced "This is not a drill", nobody knew whether to believe him or not.
And come on it's always a drill....who here as actually experienced a non drill?

It would be great if the new announcements page had a feed, like this one has.

I didn't know this had a feed? I thought you had to subscribe?
If you're talking about an RSS feed - I'm pretty sure it's available for all forums, it's just a case of digging through the backlog to figure out how to manipulate the page URLs...
i sort of stumbled upon this...I still don't really understand what an RSS feed is.
RSS feed is a term that comes up on my computer that I've so far ignored..

And i am..(I'm not so good on heaps these days though but I AM ONSIDE....(you like footie metaphors, yes?)
Yes, we need writers, reviewers, sub-editors, artists, people with technical abilities, people who understand communications etc etc.
We especially need writers, which is why I am personally so pleased to see Create evolving, and encouraging new people to begin writing for the first time.
Erm, would I consider volunteering?
To be honest, I'd have to think about it...
a) Over the years I've had just about every badge it's possible to get on this site, and I've ended up giving them up because eventually I've run out of hours in the day and haven't been able to do them justice
b) I'm just conceited enough to wonder whether I could do more good as an 'outsider' - throwing occasional spanners into the works whenever I feel like it.
But I will think about it, promise.
