When I came to this place the first thing I learned was about moderators. I am saying this, because a few times in my "educational lurking" I ran into such entries that I did not believe this is possible to see and read on these pages. Totally repulsive, nasty, vulgar disgusting words in an INTRODUCTION. That person is sick, all I can say. However I did not go into wasting much time, where for me to help is not possible. Further on I will not say the name of this person, if I get a reply from the Staff, in E-mail with proper discretion I will tell. For the betterment of h2g2 in my mind: Gecko ( All_and_more)
there certainly are still moderators  you should be able to yikes the entry, once you have done this it will be passed on to the moderation team
Hello gecko  This is now a 'self moderating' site. This means that every space and posting isn't examined when it first appears. The community are deemed responsible enough to report (by use of the 'yikes' button) anything which is offensive or breaks the house rules in any way. The only way the staff will ever be aware of a problem is via the use of this method. This is not the same as other sites which are actively moderated and (often) only open when a moderator is actively watching every single posting made. So, the best thing you can do is yikes the page you found offensive. Hope this helps shazz 
To yikes the page and call in the moderators.... * Go to the page. * Look at the very, very bottom, under the word "disclaimer", but just above the copyright notice. * Click the bit that says "click here". * A window will pop up, and you can post to the moderators in private. Bob McBob
i do believe i found the page Gecko was refferring to and i have had it removed
