Can I kip on your sofa?

Pre-meet Football Manager and beers?

I'm afraid I don't actually have a sofa to offer you, as I currently live with my parents rather than having my own place, sorry about that.

I'm not sure how keen they'd be on it, to be honest.

Also, I don't know how much of the meet I'll stay for- I have no intention of getting as horribly drunk as the previous two I've been to.

If you can't get anywhere else, I might be able to help, but you might be better with someone a little more reliable than me, to be honest.

Well. I'm not exactly reliable myself. I might ask around.

Although hotel rooms in Manchester can't be that expensive in February, surely?

I keep typing "to be honest" today. It's really annoying. And if it's annoying to me, I don't know what it's like for everyone else.

It's not really registered with me, to be honest.

It makes me feel like one of those footballs in post-match interviews who say the same thing in every answer.

"as I say", "know what I mean" etc
