Before I clicked on the link for this thread I thought it must be a conversation about the new skin laugh

Lagunitas is fast becoming one of my favourite breweries, what with Gnarly Wine, Undercover Shutdown, Little Sumpin and the like. And a cask-conditioned WTF? envy

Speaking of which... I plan to take some time off in June and I was considering spending some of it in California. I'd love to buy you and Mr Nerd a beer cheers

Really? Oh I say blush

I want to spend a few days with some friends in San Fran and we're trying to get some dates pinned down. I just had a look at the map and noticed that Healdsburg is between SF and Ukiah, and that would be where another one of my favourite breweries (there are so many drunk ) is located cheers so I'm looking at hotels there to stay a night or two as well.

The only problem is that I don't drive. Is there likely to be any kind of public transport that I could use to get from SF to Healdsburg to Ukiah?

There is. And depending on the day of the week, it may also be possible for one or both of us to meet you at least partway. We both love pub crawls so this will be fun.

Ooh, I'm liking this more and more cheers

I'm going to talk to my friends in SF either this evening or tomorrow and try to set some firm dates. Is there any time during June that's better or worse for you and Mr Nerd?

Belay that. Might have to go for 17th to 29th because the other senior bartender here has already booked some time off in late May/early June.

I could have sworn I had your address from the emails I got after Noesis but I guess not. So I've just followed you on Twitter (Brother Bikini). I think if you follow me we can DM each other, is that right?

So, this all started because I saw Gosho mention that he'd be visiting breweries that I knew were in Mendocino county. I mentioned that I have HN's cell phone number (I'm not sure--do you have mine, HN? You might have the old one--my current one ends in 4134. The area code and the other 3 are the same. If the "other 3" start with a 9--464 would mean you have our old landline, which we dropped between your 1st and 2nd visits) and would he be interested in a phone call, seeing as a 5 hour one-way trip wouldn't be feasible right now, darn it. Then I asked when he'd be in Ukiah, and realized he'd be back home before we'd be setting up the fireworks booth, much less starting the selling season, and so maybe meeting in Humboldt county would work. Then I got around to mentioning this to HN, and she pointed out that all of us in one place would make planning a bit simpler.

I just now mentioned this all to Tom, and he thinks heading down to Eureka or Arcata later this week is doableok
