It has been called to my attention that a sizable percentage of articles featured on the front page are not new.
I think some design feature should say an article is new.
Other websites do this.
One example is an example of a new box is on
http://web.gps.caltech.edu/~mbrown/planetlila/
with a little red box saying new:
h2g2 could really benefit from something like that.

I also note h2g2 has Neptune on the front page.
If that had been my update on Uranus A396713
someone might check the date on it and see Dec 2000
and think I don't want to read that it is old info.
they wouldn't know it was updated in 2009.

I agree, I think the Update should reflect it's been updated by putting a newer date. I seem to recall there have been threads about this, but I don't recall the outcome.
