| This is the Message Centre for Babette - Dinosaure << nawty dino Hello from one who does not know! >>
Hi Babette. Thanks for supporting me at the Atelier. I'm usually not that bombastic - but had been drinking, and then all the worlds' trouble lays heavily on my mind and I don't think before I post. .I shouldn't drink. I cannot control it and it makes my family very sad. Here's to a sober life for the rest of my life.
well, I just thought you were right and the way people ignored you, discussed their new air conditioning as their ("significant") contribution to energy conservation, and all that, got on my s so to speak the "of course the rest of the world should do something .. not me, I couldn't live any other way" attitude .. well .. like from a different planet, isn't it? if this is your way of expressing yourself after drinking I'd say we should make you an example and feed all gouvernments, heads of state, ... whatever ... just as drunk as you were (maybe keep them that way?). and a sober life for you .. well .. as long as that means you'll not change your attitudes and ideas from the ones you express, that's your choice of course, I'd say a regular dose , or other poison does no harm . Expressing your thoughts like in the Atelier was .. I thought .. maybe a bit sharp, but certainly from the heart. for that!! care for a in the bar?
I'll drink all the virtual booze you'll care to serve. Unfortunately - I re-re-rediscovered again - I will not for a long time - if ever - be able to just drink socially like most other people. It p*s*es me off. I agree. Some people should be kept at the benevolent, generous, happy and loving stages of drunkeness Don't worry, my attitudes and actions are the same sober or drunk, but after the benevolent etc. stages I cannot see past injustice, suffering and unhappiness in the world. Maybe you're right. I was really furious of what seem to be the most important issues for the salonistas. Where did you put that ?
I keep some in my space and .. isn't it more important to follow your own ideas, ideals then to conform to the standards of others? if you cannot see past injustice, suffering and unhappiness in the world, then should you be sorry for that? or should you be proud of it? I personally vote for the proud
*Drinks *I am proud of my ideas and ideals - and I even take action sometimes. More frequent when I was younger. Now my kids are all politically involved - even on the same side as me.
that sounds like something everyone would wish * absentmindedly tears two young dinos, both screaming and with scratches and bite marks, apart *

Actually you should go have a look at the Atelier discussion. They are taken up the political issues. I'm 100 posts behind - but it's quite good.
