<< TRiG, you have today's Quote of the Day!
Come On! >>
"Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabris, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.
I have a catapult. Give me all of your money, or I will fling an enormous rock at your head."
I've tagged you in a Note on fb--could you pop over there and take a quick look?
I saw that note, but didn't have time to take it in properly.
I've not been on h2g2 much at all in the past week. I'm unable to keep up. I'll try to have a look tomorrow.
I think someone wanted permission to quote me somewhere. If that was it, go ahead. Could you give me a pointer to the relevant conversations, though, please?
Here's a copy of what I've been posting to folks that I don't know elsewhere:
I stopped by to ask if your quote at http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A80734863 may be used by h2g2c2 to promote h2g2? There is a plan in the works to produce a book with 42 examples of writing (not just Entries--UG entries, journals, and illustrations, as well) as a showcase--and a condensed version of what I linked will be used as an introduction. Since you hold full copyright on everything you've written on h2g2, we need your permission to reproduce it (since we're not the BBC, who already has permission to use anything on h2g2 as they see fit, which they don't seem to have ever actually used...) You can give permission here, or by emailing me at amy_p1 *at* yahoo *dot* com or h2g2c2 at h2g2communityconsortium *at* gmail *dot* come (with the appropriate punctuation substitutions, of course ) Thanks!
That's grand. Go ahead. I'd love to be quoted.
Received with great thanks.
Good, though currently trying to keep Notepad from getting hurt trying to join Tom with his workout
I am now seeing man doing press-ups with a small child sitting on his back.
Almost (she got shooed off)--Tom was working out with the Wii (EA Sports Active) and Notepad was copying him. We have barely enough room for an adult to work out, and she kept standing where the lunges were going... And trying to lift the 10 lb hand weights (she's just over 25 lbs herself )
So is lifting her a workout in itself?
No, but catching her in the first place is!
The Flat Abby photos haven't arrived yet
Sorry. I've been incredibly disorganised. Moving house tomorrow. Should get them to you soon.
OK--I was starting to worry that they got lost in the mail. Late is much better than lost forever!
I think one of our respective postal services ate them
*brings in a mufflewhump, that wouldn't've worked in the fb message *
Methinks I needed that mufflewhump.
