Yes, alright thanks. I'm on ENT, and just did the most enjoyable weekend on call of my career so far.  Geriatrics, I presume? (actually, I've just looked at another thread and realised, yes that is the case, so I'll just say: how's things?  )
Yup, I have a NTN in Geriatrics (we are taking over the planet, *laughs Manically*) currently out of programme doing a PhD in small vessel disease. So I'm the lone Geriatrician in neuroradiology/neurology research group. This does not do my ego good.
Are you planning on doing any research? If you do allow me to share my No 1 tip: Never save any websites.
I'm led to understand that research is mandatory, albeit mostly in the form of case presentations and audit. Do you mean never save h2g2 from certain doom? I can understand how that might distract from research, but still... 
Ooh no, I'm glad I did it! It was the cause of at least two stand up rows with my boss over my 'distracting hobbies' which was only resolved by an agreement to give up locum work at the weekend. It's just well, lets say a large part of it was done on my work computer at work... and if I hadn't had a job where I could do some h2g2 stuff during the day and then catch up on work in the evening it would be
much more difficult to do what we did.
Indeed. I remember when I didn't have broadband at home and did all my writing in the medical school cluster room. There was a lot more spare time then.
