Can anyone help?

About a week ago I could have sworn that I heard a report on BBC (Radio) News that some galaxies have been assessed at travelling at quite a low tau (close to the speed of light)

I have not yet found any reference to this in Googling the topic. Any ideas from anyone please? Seems to me that such objects travelling at near relativistic sppeds must have exceedingly high mass?
