Pimms, are you coming to London in January for the 'Christmas Party'?
Yes  and no  .I *am* coming to London on 8th January, but as a stage in my journey to a skiing holiday (leaving London early Sunday). I'll be with my family, and we will be going to see a show in the afternoon, so I'm not sure whether I'll be able to escape and meet up. What details on venue and time are known at this point? Let me cajole awhile 
No details have yet been decided, other than that it's all happening on the 8th. What's most likely is that a small group will do some sort of activity in the afternoon while another group will go to a pub. In the evening, everybody will all go to a different pub. They're likely to be in Central London.
Just to update you Gnomon I hope to get to the Bell Book and Candle after seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with my family in the afternoon. I'm not sure what time this will be. I assume you will be going there after the National Gallery. I hope to be able to contact 2legs on his mobile when I'm in London, so if you are in contact with him we may be able to pass a message between us. Pimms  Congrats on the weight loss
