It's not a Help Page and isn't mentioned here, but the Picture Library and all the pages therein desperately needs updating. I'm not even sure it would need to be PRed, as it would essentially be a case of adding the other hundreds of images to the pages. It's a huge task, but I'd be happy to oversee it if a couple of elves would help out. Is it within the scope of the project? GuideML-Picturelibrary
A good start would be somewhere to post the new pictures as they come in, so they can be sorted from there!
The new pictures are very easy to find, via the Front Page archive. The older blobs perhaps less so.
True. But isn't it still a bother going through the archive?
Oh, absolutely. It will be a hell of a job. But if you start with today's, you're actually starting in the middle because you've still got tomorrow's to do, and that's confusing  The more I think about this, the scarier it looks. There's almost a decade's worth of entries out there to be scanned for images.
(By the way, it sounds like you might be half-offering to be an elf...  )
Sorry, not at the moment. RL keeps getting in the way where it shouldn't. 
Oh well - more in hope than expectation I'll let this lie until an elf does pop, and wait for the go-ahead from Tufty

I copied and pasted the first link, TRiG, it wasn't really a problem it wasn't a clickable link. But how do you search for photos only?
And let's try to turn the page. 
Photos and other pictures are put in the same way. I think you'd need a human to tell them apart. The updated picture library really ought to have quite a lot of overlapping categories, shouldn't it? What sort of help would be needed? TRiG.
The Picture Library was last updated when there weren't any photos, I think. I see no reason to differentiate between them. Before you posted that link, TRiG, I planned to create a home page for the sub-project. There would be a series of conversations there for each subject area, and a 'master' thread'. We'd go through a month at a time, posting the code for each image to the relevant conversation as we went, and post on the master thread when each month was completed. When we got to the present, we'd just create a new Entry by taking the picture code from each of the postings. That may actually still be easier. The other way would be to set up a 'Picture Archivist' account that could be used by anyone interested, and we could just collaborate directly onto Entries. I haven't considered the hundreds of Post photos and graphics that might be useful in other contexts.
I know we all re-use the photos here, but what's the official position?
Why would it be any different from re-using drawings?
