Okay, it's happened. My page is now officially Something, rather than just a complete waste of time. Okay, I lied.

First of all, I'll introduce myself. I'm Cutlery, a resident (although not native) Scot. I'm 15 and I go to a school which has a lot of good features and a lot to complain about.

Politics (Jul 11, 2000) Actually, there's a lot of sense in the theory that modern democracy is flawed because in order for someone to get power, they have to want power, and anyone who wants power should not be in a position to wield it. I think that being in power should be obligatory to everyone, sort of like jury duty, and that party whips should be made illegal due to the fact that they take power from the backbenchers (the representatives of the constituencies and therefore the people) and give it to the party leaders (the representatives of the party). This means that only a small minority of the people - that is, party members - are represented in parliament. And if noone replies to something as controversial as this, I will scream!
