I love a good adventure. The crew of the brigantine Mary Celeste disappeared at sea in 1872, leaving the ship and its cargo intact. You can find some historical information and a theory explaining what happened here. There is a deck layout, too, which is handy for the actors in Garius Lupus' role-playing game here at h2g2.
I'm a charter member of the BOF Inn.

I joined h2g2 on March 19, 1999. I can
prove it
, too. Okay, okay, I really registered on Opening Day, April 28, 1999. Because I was registered with the Starship Titanic website I somehow ended up with a pre-assigned User Number. It took me a while to find the community, though.
My first
post
has finally emerged from the post-Rupert legacy moderation queue. 
Anyway, I am a member of the
h2g2 OAPs
. Too bad the OAPs never really got established.
On October 13, 2003, BBCi made all h2g2 Researchers demonstrate their loyalty by jumping through various hoops to successfully log-on to our accounts. 
You never know what will happen when you wave a friendly greeting. Two of the nicest researchers met each other in May 2001 right here in My Space just because I was waving to the new researchers in my nickname!
Ottox and sunny are always welcome to stop here for a visit. Please feel free to join us!

I had carpal tunnel surgery 3 hours ago.
The  and  were all top notch, and there was  and <snacks> afterward.
Now I'm settled on the sofa, my wrists packed in ice and my iPad in my lap. I'll be home for 10 days, so there is a chance I could catch up on the backlog here.

A busy and productive day.
I restocked the larder. Then I figured out how the washer and dryer work and did laundry. Then I got the desktop pc set up and, lo and behold, it booted! Backed up the iPad and updated the operating system. Backed up the iPhone and activated the new iPhone. The new phone is restoring from backup as I type.
Still got a bunch of boxes to unpack, but I'm getting there.
Still haven't found my shoes.
