The world is made of waveforms. An undulating sea of reality. At certain points, from certain angles, a particular wave appears to be something more than its peaks and troughs. Like the crashing Goliaths of the ocean, the waves take on a form, a form that is fleeting but tangible. We call these forms 'things' and we, as things ourselves, pretend that they are forever.

A Wave
Another Wave

This is one form, one thing, of my reality.

My mark on the ephemeral eternity, and I welcome you to it.

If you've enjoyed this form, you can see where else my waveform has collapsed into reality:

The community (Oct 28, 2011)
Just a quick note, more so I don't forget than anything else, but I just want to say that I have been amazed at the response with my article on RGM (Relational Guide Mechanics). It wasn't the fact that it caused a little bit of a stir, I knew anything being put down as opposed to the UGT (Universal Guide theory) might cause a bit of a backlash, but it has been the mood and tone of response that has caused me to be, happily, surprised.

The community here is a rare thing on the internet for, while it is full of eccentrics and passionate people, there also seems to be a rational and polite atmosphere where ever you go. While we all do get a little bit over zealous and some of us might occasionally become angry, everyone here is treated with respect. Their ideas are taken into consideration and, if disagreed with, are politely refuted.

This is something I hope the Guide can hold on to throughout the next phase of its existence and that this can be one Haven on the WWW where we can voice our opinions without fear of flames or bigotry.

Thoughts behind: Mobility Scooters (Oct 27, 2011)
Today I uploaded my new blog entry "Mobility Scooters" which is part of my series on "The purpose of being". (uploaded to wordpress due to its non-factual nature and pre-existing webspace I was using) In the piece I talk of an old man who spends his days sitting on a bench in the middle of a shopping centre.

Some readers may be slightly confused as to why I have included this scene in with my other entries which were fantasy pieces. The key for me here, and the link I am trying to show, is a dichotomy between the new and old. The fact that, while both are necessary parts of life, they may not be compatible with each other.

In fact, I want to show that this might be the key to the modern human condition, that we contain this void within us that maybe, historically, we have not had before. Forget how to use your smartphone, knowing how to be in the world might be our bigger challenge.
