Who am I?
Ok I'm going to run the risks of sounding boring and tell you some things about who I actually am. My name is Neil, I live in Croydon in the UK. I study Mathematics with Philosophy, as a second-year student in London. From September 2005 to June 2006 (my third and final year) I live in the KCL Halls of Residence in Hampstead. S p a c e d

That doesn't seem like a happy ending. That seems more like a detached tale of modern alienation. - LisaYoda

End of hols
(Apr 17, 2005)
Today, Sunday, is the last day of the Easter hols. It's been really good, but all good things must come to an end. That also means I only have a few more hours to write my essay. Hopefully the pressure will have some good effect.

I've had a falling out with one of my friends. I feel very sad about it, and very sad in general. Not sure of what else to say here.

Philosophy Essay - 7 days left
(Apr 10, 2005)
I now have only seven days in which to write my long-awaited annual philosophy essay, which this time is for the A.I. course: Computers and the Mind.
Crunch-time is rapidly approaching. So far I haven't actually written anything. This is bad, it's supposed to be 4,000 words long.
Fortunately, H2G2 and the web have some relevant material, noting the articles on The Turing Test and Searle's Chinese Room. I must consult my resources. Click here to discuss this

Revision
(Apr 7, 2005)
Urm, I'm going to have a go at using a journal entry to start my revision off.
Revision List:
- Analysis I -LEARN THEOREMS -Learn proofs of theorems -Revise examples -Revise homework sheets -Practise past papers
- Linear Algebra -LEARN THEOREMS -Learn proofs of theorems -Revise homework sheets -Revise class tests
- Intermediate Dynamics -Revise course/lecture notes -Revise coursework -PRACTISE PAST PAPERS
- Geometry I -Revise A&M -Revise lecture notes -REVISE HOMEWORKS -Read past paper
- Elementary Number Theory -REVISE COURSE NOTES -Revise lecture notes -Revise homeworks -Practise past papers
- Discrete Mathematics -REVISE LECTURE NOTES -Revise homeworks -Practise past papers
- Logic -REVISE COURSE NOTES -Practise past papers
- Computers and the Mind -Revise notes and handouts -WRITE ESSAY -Read about other essays -Read books
Neil, if you can seriously do all that then that will be very very good, but you have only 630 hours until the first exam! For 29 pieces of revision, this means an average of one day per item! That's assuming you utilise all your available time! GET A MOVE ON!
