Who I Am
Now is the time for a little info about me. My name is Jessie, I also go by Tempest. I am 18 years old and some call me a mulatto treat.

Where I'm From
I am originally from a small town named Niles, Michigan (US). I moved to South Bend, Indiana in elementary school. In August I am going to take up new residence in Bloomington, IN in a townhouse with 2 girls I met at school.

School
I will be a sophomore at Indiana University at Bloomington (IU or IUB), IN this fall (which is why I'm getting a townhouse because I hated the dorms last year). I'm majoring in audio recording. A big part of my life and time at school is devoted to marching band. I play piccolo in the Indiana University Marching Hundred. Love Of My Life
The man I am completely and hoplessly in love with is my boyfriend Rob. We started going out at the end of our junior year of high school. This past year while I was at school was absolute misery with out him. He's going to Indiana University at South Bend (IUSB) so he's still living at home. I believe being 4 hours away from each other and only getting to see each other once a month has weakened our relationship at a time when it should be blooming and growing stronger. Neither of us knows what exactly we're going to do when I leave and I'm dreading going back to school for this reason only.

What I Like
I like so many different, unrelated things it's hard to believe I'm one person. My many interests include music, playing and listening to various types. I have played flute since 6th grade and I marched all 4 years of high school. I learned to play tenor sax for jazz band and I took piano lessons (which I intend to pick up again) for a few years. I had to learn the piccolo for college marching band because they don't march flutes - you can't hear them.
I enjoy dancing emensely. I've taken tap, ballet, and jazz, and I started learning middle eastern (belly dancing) this year. When I get back to school I'm going to join the swing club because I love the music so much.

No circus. . .Solution: ANIMAL CRACKERS (Jul 25, 2000) Well I didn't get to go to the circus. Everyone copped out on me. That's ok though cause I got some animal crackers here and I can put on my own circus! No, wait...I can't, I'm at work...nevermind. NO CIRCUS FO' ME. And unfortunately my trip to the Renaissance fair in Kalamazoo is off too. But again that's ok cause I'm gonna party this weekend like I ain't never partied before. Well maybe not that much but it'll still be fun. I've been a little down lately because I'm realizing what a disappointment this summer has been. Nothing has worked out as planned except for the Warped Tour and that was just barely. Oh well, I guess life isn't a circus after all. A friend that I met at school lives in Peru, IN, supposedly the circus capital of the US (probly cause they have nothing else there), and she plays in the circus band. So I'm going to see her and I haven't seen a circus since I was really young. I've always threatened my mother that I was going to drop out of school and run away with the circus. I was serious too, but everytime I saw an advertisment for one it had already come and gone. Maybe this is my chance! If you never hear from me again you'll know what happened. Click here to discuss this (No replies) Big toe nail (Jul 17, 2000) Well I wasn't planning on writting a journal entry just yet but I visited someone's page who hadn't written one and the default message guilted me into writing one right away. Since I hadn't planned on writing I don't have anything to write about so I'll just say what's on my mind right now. I'm at work worrying about my dance class when I get off. I have a problem with the nail on my left big toe and messing with it just made it worse so it hurts in a spot that my ballet slippers easily irritate and that is no good. My mom tells me to not cut it but I have to keep my toe nails short for dancing or it will cause many more problems. See, I told you I didn't have anything to write about.
