Happy ass (May 28, 2000) So I just finished entering all of the Gospels of the Peter Ryan Cult into the Guide. This pleases me. It makes me feel important, like the possibility of a Neutronian becoming a follower of Peter Ryan and it's all because of me. This is good. Spreading the word around the galaxy is a good thing. And you know what this *really* means? It means I have absolutely no life. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Because I have nothing better to do with my spare time than write up GuideML code for 10 Gospels. And that is, of course, and incomplete list. There's more Gospels that have been written that aren't up yet. *sigh* Then again, you know I secretly like it. I'm a geek, and writing code and making webpages is something I enjoy. I suppose I can't help it. In other news, today I decided that Macromedia truly is god. (Maybe I'll write a Gospel According to Macromedia?) I started playing with Macromedia Fireworks today. And my *god* but it's the most beautiful program ever scripted! It does everything you want Photoshop to do that it doesn't! It even allows you to attatch text to a path which is something you needed Illustrator to be able to do before! (and most photoshop geeks abhore Illustrator, I'm one of them) And you can import your Photoshop plug-ins into it! I swear, I literally had an orgasm as I was pondering the potential of this program. I now humbly bow down on my knees and worship the feet of the Macromedia Gods. Why has it taken so long for me to discover Your glory? I should get to bed, but the little message saying "this is where your journal entries will go" was screaming at me and i decided i needed to do something about it. here i am. i'm in england. yep. here i am. i'm towards the end of my stay here. it's 3.13 am right now and i need sleep but i don't want to sleep. i need to study for my final but i don't want to study. so i'm sitting in the computer lab, on a T3 connection with 15 windows open and ignoring all of them. such is my life. lots of windows, lots of things to ignore. like the fact that, once again, my fiance is on the other side of the world. a few weeks ago it was india. now it's america. and i'm still here. in england. yep. here i am. it's not like i don't like it here. it's just that i've been here four months and the novelty has run out and there's a lot more people in california, in San Francisco and in southern california, who i've known for much longer and am consequently much closer to than here, whom i miss and want to hang out with again. and besides, i'm in norwich, which is a fairly boring place. and london is expensive. someone finally wandered into the channel i 0wn on irc, #jahovaswitnesses. his nick was GawdAwful. i only 0wn the channel because it's absurd. because there's #catholic and #christianity and i'm not a jahova's witness, wouldn't even want to be, but there's no #jahovaswitnesses channel, and i thought there should be. i mean, their whole schtick is to go around trying to convert everyone right? (maybe i should take #evangelisism or something...) well, why not have a channel? and they're all about sitting down and talking to you, so why not have a channel? i did it because i'm not a jahova's witness. i did it because it's absurd and stupid to own a channel like that and not actually be a part of it. but, i've got a friend who's an op in #manson, and he tells me that none of the ops in #manson are marilyn manson fans. and if someone talks excessively about marilyn manson, they get banned. so what the hell? Anyway, GawdAwful came in a half hour ago and said "it seems we have something in common" and disappeared. probably because i didn't reply. because i wasn't paying attention. because i have 15 windows open and i'm ignoring them all. it all comes back to Pearl. Pearl is this guy i met. He is an alum of the university i go to. well kind of. anyway, he's nicknamed "Pearl" because of the small balls he had surgically inserted into his penis. Pearls. He's got 3 of them. He didn't hesitate to show them to me, my roommate at the time, and a couple other alums. It was...interesting. it all comes back to Pearl because somehow he managed to make every topic of discussion loop back to an earlier topic of discussion. A Pearl Loop. And hence anytime anything like that ever happens again, it always comes back to Pearl by default. Kind of like six degrees to Kevin Bacon. that's all. i'm not going into intricate detail of my life and times. not tonight. i have a journal online anyway. go to that if you're really feeling voyeuristic. it's only from the last few months, since i left for england, and it hasn't been updated recently, but whatever. i'm out.
