So long, and thanks for all the fish

Well, it's been a long fun run, but I find that I'm on the site less and less. For everyone whom I've met and interacted with, thanks for the great memories. Everyone else, sorry I didn't get a chance to get to know you better.

Hypatia for President (Sep 13, 2005)
I have thrown my support wholeheartedly behind Hypatia for President. After years of discussions I cannot think of a better entity to take HooToo into the, well, into the next, whatever there might be smiley

First step into a larger world (Oct 10, 2003)
Well, I've decide to give the world of online match making a chance. Seems almost impossible to meet individuals in person these days, especially since I work in a field dominated by males.

My brother recommended a site and it seems to be holding promise. I've alread met a couple of interesting individuals and we will see what the future holds.

I LOVE being an adult :-) (Sep 25, 2003)
Since my last journal entry was so bleak, I felt I should add one that is much more positive.

I now have a house YEAH!, it is furnished and my cat completely owns it. My cats name is pixel and she is a tortoise shell, about 4 months old.

My friends have been fantastic, both RL and VL, and life is rolling along at a fantastic clip with nothing but good things to report.

Thanks for reading smiley All comments are appreciated.

I *hate* being an adult .... (May 25, 2003)
My girlfriend of three years (1/2 of which we were engaged for) and I have broken up. sadface

Over the past 2 months we have come to the realization that each of us have some major issues with the others way of dealing with things. The problem is that we have issues with core attitudes towards problem solving, and so we tend to butt heads on the issues.

Over the course of the last two months I have come to the realization that I like her as a friend, I love her, but I can't see getting married to her, and some of her relationship issues just don't work for me.

So today we had the *discussion*. Very casual, very nice, extremely civilized, we both talked, we both agreed.

So now I am going to start looking for a house. Luckily I have the down payment, I just never thought I would own a house alone.

While I realize that there is a difference between alone and lonely, it sucks to be 32 years old and single again. I had hoped for better, but it looks like that's what life has in store for me.

I know I made the right decision and that it was the adult thing to do, but this really sucks.

Thank you for reading this, any comments are welcome.
