Journal for Researcher187148

School Hiatus (Sep 4, 2002)
Just so you all know, I'm not really around that much right now. I've decided to be very organised and do absolutely *all* of my school work this year. That said, I'm still going to be here a bit, I just won't ever really be seen on the Most postings in the last 24 hours list.

Wish me luck!

Brunel (Aug 20, 2002)
Yes folks, I am totally enthralled with hootoo's new skin. And why shouldn't I be? Features that even Brunel-haters compliment, customisable colour schemes, and all around cool ness!

I'm sick! talk to me and make me feel better! (Jan 8, 2002)
Went to the doctor today, who took a throat culture and found out the for the past frew days the illnes that I've been plagued with is strep throat. I'm utterly miserable and ill and if you don't talk to me I'll never get better, and I'll die here, lonely, because no h2g2er responded!

H2G2 and why it's as great as it is (Jan 3, 2002)
I was thinking the other day, as I read Mostly Harmless, and I realised that had circumstances been slightly different from the way they are, I could be on friendly terms with DNA. If I had found h2g2 a year earlier, I could have been discussing all sorts of things with him. And it made me sad that this chance had slipped by, that I didn't find h2g2 until a couple months ago, and that he passed away when he did. But as I thought, I realised that it wasn't really a sad thing. Here on h2g2 we are who we are, no more and no less. The researcher with whom I discussed the quality of Sgt. Pepper today could have been Paul McCartney and I never would have known the difference. I may have argued over grammatical regulations with the editor-in-chief of the OED yesterday. Here, anybody in the entire world who can speak English and who has an internet connection can be a part of a phisically seperated yet tightly-knit community of caring people. I know I'm getting idealistic and sappy here, but I just love what h2g2 has done to the world.

YOU MUST RESPOND (Dec 27, 2001)
Alright. I don't care how devoted a lurker you are, if you are reading this, you have a functioning keyboard, and you have not already responded YOU MUST. THIS IS NOT A CHOICE. I NEED TO KNOW. The way my space is now, does it have too many graphics? If no, are too many of the graphics musically oriented? If nobody responds, I shall be *very* put out.

Gone (Dec 6, 2001)
Just in case anybody out there actually reads this (doubtfull) I will tell you that I will be away for the next four days. I'm going to be part of Model UN in Boston (who knows, maybe I'll get a good idea for a guide entry smiley ) So, you can write me all you want, but I probably won't respond until monday (EST). Who knows though, maybe I'll have internet access.

(Nov 30, 2001)
Yesterday I smiled when I listened to Revolver. This morning, I woke up blearily, fell out of bed, and showered. I got out of the shower and got dressed. Looked for library books. Turned on my radio.

Taxman, Here comes the sun, Long long long, Only a Northern song, I need you, Love you too, Within you without you, I want to tell you, All things must pass, When we was fab. All that's left of him.

Yesterday I smiled when I listened to Revolver. This morning I cried.

11/17/01 (Nov 17, 2001)
An entire glorious week of freedom! No cares, no obligations! Time to work on guide entries. Ah, all is alright in the world. So, what about the Who? you think its worth it to write an entry on them? PETE TOWNSHEND IS BALD. What happened to our role models? Country Joe lookes like a bald Willie Nelson. John is dead. I was born a generation too late.
