cell phones kill braincells:
(Feb 12, 2002)
item: once getting a cell phone, people use them while driving, being an annoyance and a danger to *every other person on the road*. item: " , people talk loudly on them in public places, the library for one, which is where i am, which is what prompted this rantyness, forcing everyone in the area to hear about their latest medical problem/what Their Susy said about Our Janice/about how rude everyone is to keep glaring at them. item: " , they suddenly decide it's cute to have a ring that lasts for half a minute, mutitlating some peice of classical music by playing it in high-pitched beeps. come on, people, *no* piece of music deserves that. those composers would be rolling in thier graves. the ones that are dead, at least. then there's the ones that weren't even that good to start with. item: " , *some* people treat it like a status symbol, calling attention to the offending device as if to say "Look at me, I have a cell phone!". this is especially stupid as while once they were cutting edge, now they're practically free with every Happy Meal. item: also people will persist in leaving them on whilst in the theater or basically anywhere else it would be obnoxious to suddenly hear 'jingle bells' coming out of nowhere, or more accurately, out of the seat right in front of you.
