Adding new members
(Aug 20, 2003)
I started adding new members in when I had to look all busy and professional as someone came into the office to ask me to do some urgent stuff. I've now forgotten who I've added! But welcome anyway!
I would also like to ask everyone who hasn't been added yet to put their name in the signup thread I created a while back, as it'll be far far easier for me to keep on top of things!
Thanks!

2-2-2002 HVS Updated
(Feb 2, 2002)
The HVS homepage has undergone a full update today.
New features include a drop-down box for our members list, the inclusion of current announcements, plus the reinstatement of the news, links and other original front page features.
Hopefully, the new page is now easier to read and navigate. Any comments are most welcome.
I am still working on adding a navigation bar and anchor tags, but it looks like this feature may have been deprecated in dna 1.0.
Future additions may include an official HVS logo, so if anyone has any designs in mind, or would like to create one, please let us know, and mail us a copy. Thanks.

A warm HVS welcome to our recent member, MaP.
Things have been a little quiet around HVS recently, as Zarquon and I both pursue necessary real-world distractions. If any members would like to make any suggestions, or offer any assistance in an aspect of HVS, please let us know, either here or through e-mailing h2g2veg@hotmail.com
In particular, if anyone would like to take on duties in the Virtual Restaurant (bar-tender, cook, waiting staff, etc) all applications will be treated fairly and equally... before being accepted unequivocably.

A warm welcome to our two newest members, Sara and Salamander the Mugwump! That brings our countdown to only 5! I've also added a couple links and made a few minor design changes. There are some important announcements as well, but I trust that anyone who actually reads these entries would already have seen them.

I was so wrapped up in my bad puns that I forgot to sign the last entry! I wouldn't want poor Pegasus taking the rap for the spawn of my odd mood, now would I? Would I? Hmmm...

Do we have yet another new member?
(Aug 14, 2000)
"Sho" we do! Ok, I admit that was even cornier than our logo. Get it? Corny! Because the logo has a corn co--oh never mind. Welcome to the H2G2 Vegetarian Society, Sho. Glad to have you with us! You're number 34, so that means there's...

Iceland Goes Organic!
(Aug 7, 2000)
That's 'Iceland', the British frozen food supermarket chain, not the country!
As well as being the first to offer a nationwide home delivery service and internet shopping, Iceland are preparing to make all their frozen vegetables organic, without hiking the price to the consumer. They are also working in partnership with The National Trust, a leading British conservation charity.
Find out more by following the link in the 'news' section above, or visit Iceland online at http://www.iceland.co.uk

Recipe of the Week
(Jul 29, 2000)
It's updated again. I guess I don't need to say that every week. Just assume that it will be updated sometime during the weekend each week. And I'll repeat this for those who never heard it: Every other week is a vegan week and the alternate weeks are ovo-lacto vegetarian.
