Muslim woman's bra photo sparks controversy

A brother and sister from Germany who had an incestuous relationship, arguing they had the right to a family life, have lost their European court case.
Patrick Stuebing and Susan Karolewski had four children together, two of whom are described as disabled.
The European Court of Human Rights said Germany was entitled to ban incest.
Stuebing, who was convicted of incest and spent three years in prison http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-17690997

>>..drawing particular attention to the fringe issue of an NBC broadcast seems trivial, bordering on shameful. <<
The subject line of this thread asks 'What news drew your attention today?'
The NBC apology caught my attention. After all, most local TV and radio stations have been playing that tape in its edited form over and over for more than a month and it has convinced most Americans that the murder was racially motivated. Trial by media is hardly trivial. So I am not ashamed to report that the Truth of it has been revealed - if perhaps too late.
I see you've picked up on the 'Skittles and can of soda' as if these are convincing symbols of childhood innocence. Shame!

World looks on in envy as North Korea sets off the world's biggest firework to celebrate the life of The Most Beloved Leader with The Loveliest Eyes (or whatever the title is).
'We have successfully launched, exactly as intended, the world's biggest and most mgnificent firework. It was getting better and in danger of sending the world mad because of it's wonderous beauty so we destroyed it for the benefit of the world.' Or something.

Sarkozy "called for a "new social model" and a "new growth model".
hmmm... interesting, he´s now using the words of Hollande.
I hope Hollande wins the first round, and in the second one, the Melechon voters may give him their votes.
Later, Melenchon could "help" Hollande not to head towards the "centre" as it has been happening with Blair, Zapatero and others Europeans left parties.
Melenchon party reminds me of its equivalent in Spain, Izquierda Unida. Small left groups, from communists to ecologists that are now united. In Spain, they are playing an important role.
So, Go Hollande!!

Was this the thread where we had a running argument about video games inspiring real life violence?
If not I will be glad to post this link elsewhere:

I don't think there's cause and consequence established there. He also used a keyboard an awful lot, and it seems to have played a very significant part in making him the murderous idiot he became...

If he was doing that fulltime, then that's why he had no time to plan mass homocide. If only he'd kept playing, then the attacks would never have happened.
No doubt he also had a copy of Catcher in the Rye.
Correlation does not imply causation. The media are adept at using irrelevant details like this in some attempt at making it look like they know what they're talking about.
But no, this wasn't that thread Squiggles.
