.... broke my camera jib. Apparently (I'm leaving in half an hour or so to look for myself) a group decided that the 28' (actually 30' in total length with stays to a mast 10' off the ground) camera jib I left lashed to the side of a building Friday night needed disassembling. Violently. The inaptly named security company that was to look after it was 'overwhelmed' by which I guess meant they were on a break.
This appears to be the result of locating my equipment in the middle of a parking lot between the Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Molson Canadian tents which are all beer gardens open until 2:00 AM. On the night in question Bryan Adams was playing in one tent and Bedouin Soundclash was in the other. I don't blame either or their fans.
Not that I blame management. Even though I warned them. Go figure. It was a coincidence. Oh well. No one bled, no one died.
Damn hooligans

perhaps these louts could use the drunken explanation, but it certainly can't be used by the yahoos that were smashing windows.
The *anarchists*??? Most of them too stupid to cover their faces until the interview portion? Media rumours abound that they were a small group of mentally challenged *Yoots* who were egged on and trained by others who disappeared when the actual *event* happened. Sad on so many levels.

Seems the louts are here as well. My garage was broken into sometime last night.
No more welding.
No more air compressing.
No more electricity generation.
No more angle grinding.
No more socket cranking.
I never even got the bench grinder out of the box.
But through some strange oversight on the part of the burglars, I can still ride my bike.

Sheesh!
Stealing a chap's work tools is damn low!
I've had a nice chainsaw, and a good socket set stolen from a friend's shed.
Will your household insurance help replace them?

It's not worth a claim. It was all cheap stuff.
