Call me a picky so-and-so, but I find it interesting to note that, in a well-written and certainly affectionate look at this remarkable ad, there's no mention of the people who wrote it, the agency / company that produced it or the client (Diageo) who agreed to pay for it. Surely all these people are worth a mention? For the record, I know the ad was created by the agency Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, although the name of the creative team escapes me. I'm sure you could find them on the D&AD website.
Agree it's one of the most powerful ads of recent years: in fact, Glazer's recent Levi's piece was, I thought, even more effective in terms of energy.
