What do you think




When I was young, and full of glee
You used to spank and shout at me

I’d bring you strife with my tricks
And make you sad with my quips

But when I was down and full of tears
You was always there through the years

You’d kiss my cuts and kiss my cheek
You’d make me feel I wasn’t weak

When I was running from a crowd
You’d be at my side and fight them down

When I was free and went alone
You was there, still not on my own

But now you’re older and slowing down
I’ll be there so you’re not alone

You bring me strife with your tricks
And make me sad with you’re quips

But when you’re down and full of tears
I’ll be there through out the years

I’ll kiss you’re cuts and kiss you’re cheek
And god knows you are not weak

Now you’re grey, you’re still no bother
After all, you are my Mother

I never intended to write a poem, I just opened "Word" to do something else and while I was sitting there it just came to me and so I wrote it down

Thanks, you are very welcome. Great to hear from you, I hope you have had a great holiday weekend.

It took me several attempts before I could write even very short poetry, so you have done very well. I get online help with the online rhyme dictionary as I put a word in they come up with similar rhyming words.
