All my ACE messages. Apparently I was spamming. While I can see why they would think that, if that were the case then why haven't I been moderated for the last seven years for doing exactly that? 
I've filled out a complaint form very politely and asked them to reinstate the posts.
I'm a little more concerned that a load of newbies will have their first contact being a post that has broken the House Rules. Nice welcome. 
No, that can't be right. I think we have to look into this further.

Nah, it will be right. My ACE message is a cut and paste job. So technically it is spamming the boards. It's just spamming for a very good, previously sanctioned reason. If this is no longer allowed then ACEing can't be done.

Oh dear. Seems the BBC have got new moderators and we haven't got time to train them properly

May I suggest that you e mail Sam as well.
Hi Z, the new moderators don't understand Hootoo, they think we are a message board, and probably similar to the Archers. In their eyes we are not only spamming, we would also be off-topic, and therefore should be yikes'd as part of their remit.
The best thing would be to email Sam and give him a link to this thread. He can sort it out for us on Monday.

This certainly doesn't make a good impression with the newbies. I hope that the posts get reinstated before any of them notice.
 A rhetorical question: how is it possible that this type of post can be pulled? Once the content is read by the mod, it would be clear that this is not spam.

Beacuse a) they may not have read the post, just seen that I posted 50 identical messages and b) because, despite the fact it is an information message for new users, it is technically spamming.
I just wonder, why today? What made today the day that they didn't want me doing it?
I wonder if a bot has picked the multiple posts. Maybe the bbc has new software.
Did you get an email about the posts being removed?
Please do email Sam as he can reinstate the posts without having to wait for the appeals process to grind on. I'll be interested if the appeal you put in gets answered by the offsite bbc people. I appealed a yikesing once (they pulled a link I posted to another post on h2). Never heard a thing, not even an acknowledgement that they'd received my email.
btw, spam is in the eye of the beholder, and even under the HRs, the bbc are under no obligation to remove posts that *might* be spam but aren't.

I emailed him yesterday, but as he obviously won't work weekends I'll have to wait until Monday.
I'm curious to see if lil's ACEing messages that she did yesterday afternoon got pulled as well.
ACEing was difficult enough recently without this now happening.

Looks like lil's title of 'ACEs welcome message - not spam!' did the trick! They are all still there. 
And, even better, mine are back too!  No email to inform me of that, of course, but at least they have reinstated them. There is still one left that says it has been referred, but hopefully that should be sorted at some point.
Hurrah for common sense!
