Hopefully not too late to get into final entry

There's a good, but unfinished entry here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A575228

that I think could be worth adding bits to (with credit of course)

Plus a little known fact that Lead was used as a sweetener in some parts until recently, leading to the invetiable extra damage that caused, plus the presses were often lead lined.

Off to drink some now.

I don't really know what can be done about this.

I have a recommended article called "Cider" which is different but overlaps to a certain extent with this unfinished "scrumpy" article. I feel it would not be such an easy task to merge the two. Since publishing an article on h2g2 gives copywrite priveliges to the BBC I suppose the editor could so if he wishes, in which case I'd be happy to consult.

Shouldn't be a problem at all , the sub-editor (Ashley) will see if there is scope to merge the two, happens all the time (Well has happened in the past a few times) some of my entries have scores of researchers listed as co-writers,

Good entry anyway smiley

Good stuff! As the author of the 'Scrumpy' entry, I'd be delighted if you could make use of it. Unfortunately a hefty dose of RL disrupted work on it, and I never quite got around to finishing it.

The Scrumpy article seems quite well written, and though there is a fair amount of overlap, it seems that, with a bit of collaboration with the two authors, a few bits from the article could well be included in the cider one.

I'm sure Ashley will get in touch with you (nudge nudge).

Hey Guys

... and Gals...

And singing fish

Well first and foremost I want to say a Happy New Year to each and every one of you. smiley

Now to business. I've looked at the the Scrumpy entry and I have to say it is quite an impressive piece of work but it is still in progress. Rather than incorporate this entry into the Cider one, it would be better if it stood alone as a separate entry. I've contacted the Researcher in question to see if he is still around and interested in submitting the piece to Peer Review. I'll let you know what happens. smiley

Take care y'all.

Ignore that last comment.

Parrferris, would you be happy to submit the piece to Peer Review as it is? It's a great piece and would make an excellent sister entry to Cider.

Let me know and in future I promise to read the entire thread with my eyes open next time winkeye

Hi Ashley! Thanks for your kind comments. If you think it'd be okay as it is, and there isn't too much overlap with the Cider entry, I'd be delighted for my humble opus to go to Peer Review.

I think this is a sterling candidate for Peer Review...

I look forward to seeing it there smiley
