You may negotiating with the wrong roach. You need to address your grievances directly to the King of the roaches. Also, straightforward negotiation will get you nowhere. Try bribery and threats. You could also try opening up your accommodation to creatures that eat cockroaches: cats, rats, birds (not me), snakes .... that sort of thing. Good luck! winkeye

How do I know which one is king? They're all at least 2 inches long. Do they come bigger than that? One landed on me the other night, and when I went to flick it off my leg it *cut* me. I don't know how--I didn't know they were that sharp! OH yes...and they *do* fly quite well also...

I can't have cats because of the dogs and I can't let the dogs inside because they're not my dogs (they're their own...we're just friends) and my studio is *definitely* not bird-proof. Cunning little boogers, birds... Snakes disdain the studio because it has inadequate entry and exit holes, and if I cut holes for the snakes then I would have rats and mice in droves, which the snakes would not eat because they've got a union contract. I did at one point consider getting a Tokay gecko, but they're vicious little bastards and I don't fancy having a finger taken off while innocently reaching for the teabags one day. I will therefore continue to control what roaches I find using the "flip-flop of death" method smiley
