Welcome, Unknown Visitor
*quietly sends Amy the one, the only, THE ... ACME_Patented_Long_Orange_Extension_Cord_Drier_And_Julienne_Fries_Slicer*
I think the fan's already ruined, though, so I can't send lil this rain...
Oh pooh !!! Well, I tried ...
Would you like some of our expected rain? It will either be solidified, or white'ish.
No, that's OK--the lake in front of the bottom of the stairs is finally drained enough that rubber boots aren't absolutely necessary to leave the house.
Any little lakelets here would be very hard now. Morning temperatures are commonly below freezing. I emptied the bird-bath, to put away for the winter, and it was one chunk of ice and maple leaves.
The paper clan received its first Christmas card of the year today
*mutters something about the paper clan needing to purchase cards pretty darn soon here!*
How-ever, someone seems to have forgotten to mention that December 28th is also a date to note ... Hmmmm.
Hm, let's see... HappyDude will be 40, the downstairs neighbors' baby will be 1, and I'll be 34. I'd say the milestone birthdays are more important
My bestest friend, Venus, will be 'umpty-years' on that date as well. I was wandering the US Researcher Groups, and saw that your area carries a few of the b-dates as well.
Let's see, then that makes *counts--Happy, L, N, Venus* 4 twins I have that I know personally right now (ranging from 1 on the day to old enough to be my mom). I've only known one person that shared the year as well as the day (shared hospital, too, for that matter)--in fact, my locker was next to his my senior year. Didn't know his birthday until about a year later when I was going through my baby book and such, though--while babies' names weren't listed in the newspaper clippings, his last name was unusual enough that it was easy to guess that it was him. that, and it turns out he's either a Jr. or else, like Tom, just has a different middle name than his dad.
I have known perhaps 20 people who's birthday is either October 6th or 10th, but none in between. SO my own date seems fairly unique.
*wanders in, very unfashionably late*
Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday and Happy New Year.
So how did everything go for you? Did you have a delightful little travel for your personal day?
The trip was lovely--and we even managed a short trail walk between rain showers
I can most definitely recommend the Harbor Inn Motel--no idea what their summer rates are, but we got a nice big room with a jacuzzi for $89.89 altogether! Especially nice after the small, basic room we had the night before.
You think you're belated--I've still Christmas cards to address and mail And, since I can't find the address book that has our friends' addresses in Sacramento, not many are getting sent. (When Tom upgraded his phone a few months ago, the addresses in it didn't get transferred along with the phone numbers, which I didn't learn until I first tried to do Christmas cards ) I may just have to get around to getting some international stamps to use up a few more cards. I wonder if anyone would be interested in a photo of a group of angels?
One can never have too many , m'dear.
Just as a BTW, Christiane has expressed an interest in joining the Atelier. I'm sure that she would quite like the place, and the crowd would love her. Perhaps you, in your own subtle but persuasive ways, could invite her over and introduce her?
Remind me--I saw this yesterday morning, left this window open, and then didn't have a chance to get online until now
Gee, I hope the room didn't get too cold and draughty ... this window open all day.
Nah--Tom took this computer with him to work, and then forgot to bring the power cord with him when he brought it home.
But better this window than the glass ones--it was rainy all day (the promised lovely weather didn't arrive until today, and of course my head was stuffed too full of cotton to enjoy it--I slept all afternoon, while Tom and Faith were at the park.
I do hope that you are feeling better. Milady was nice enough to share a bit of a cold with me, and a teeny tickle in the throat just will not go away ...
I'm felling blech, but I can't be sick until we've a new aid hired and trained--too many absences on the part of the aid we had
