Firebird seems a good choice for the minimalist - I like to have one app to do everything though, so Opera 7.23 is my favourite - it covers my E-mail, (M2 client), tabbed browsing, all my sidebar (hotlist) panels (including the h2g2 ones) and it has a built in secondary clipboard for making notes and pasting them separately from the operating system clipboard - which is very handy for long conversations or flamewars when you need to reply to a lot of ignorant posts. winkeye

True but at work I have Notes for email so I just wanted something quick and easy which I don't need admin privilages to install!

Like the idea of the clipboard, will have to see if there's an extention available to do that.

Don't even talk to me about flamewars, I've been trying to calm one this morning, I think it's vaguely under control now and the italics have just posted to say that it's being investigated offsite and that everyone should just walk away from the thread. <FingersCrossed> that when the researchers involved come back online they will take note of the post and have the situation dealt with in an adult manner. erm
