Hi there
As it seems like everyone else makes a personal plea, iŽll do it too..
I came across this place by sheer coinsidence, but actually wondered a couple of times, whether there would be a stargazer-guild on this site..
-It very much seems that there is!
I am a danish sailor, a mate too, with a very limited experience of sextant-navigation.
(as these methods donŽt take up as much space on the taxonomic schedules nowadays, as they did in the past..After shooting,IŽd need a good hour to dust of the Almanacs and finish my calculations)
I am quite familiar with the constellations of the Northern hemisphere.
..And, generally, a nice guy too..

Really good to have new people from different areas of astronomy and this is cirtainly an exciting one. I've added you onto the members list so do sign upto the ayhoo group discussion list if you haven't allready. When your in you must tell us about your travels and maybe write something about the sextant for the AS frontpage?

IŽll try to work out something like an introduction to the subject,
on which i can elaborate,
-but for the next three weeks i wonŽt have much time to make major efforts of that sort, as i have already two projects running, in ships-tech and maritime jura..

hi
i'm glad i found this page coz i'm rely intrested in astro physics and cosmology. i plan to study one of the 2 in universety in a few years (after a levels) and have done a few projecs from home witch would i would b intrested to hear other peoples opinions on.
