i now have internet in my room....well, until the computer blows up i do. so i might actually be able to spend some time here. i've missed you all loads and i'll try to be around a bit more from now on.
You lucky creature.
Wish there was internet in my room.
Am currently in room in dungeons.
well, it is costing me a load of money which i hadnt budgeted for, because we had been given no indication that thre would be an internet connection available before we got here. but i figure in the end it will probably save me money because it will stop me spending money on entertainment.
how's it going with you then? i take it your accomodation leaves much to be desired. that sounds like mine as an under grad. i got so lucky this time round. lots of the post grad rooms are nasty, but the hall i'm in is nice. we even have working heating! its november and here i am in a shirt and no layers of jumpers. makes a nice change from my first year when we had no heating.
I am in a large room but with one wall almost entirely window (privacy, what privacy?), no internet, no good heating, the annoying thing is that half of my block has internet and heating, but the rest (whre I am) won;t get done till next summer, when it's too late.
now that IS annoying.
my whole first year was in a shared room with no heating. the second and third i had single and more heating....but i cant say i was ever warm.
I'm warm in some lectures (one this morning was best, actual cushioned seats and warmth, and dark, don't think they actually want us to be awake)
we have dead posh lab to work in....but it is freezing.
my room is cold roght noe and will take an hour to warm up....but after that i will be fine. i'm so lucky, which is just as well as i got very wet this morning and i need to warm up and dry out.
Got very wet from what? Rain?
I ask because I have a number of friends who get up at stupid times in the morning and go to rivers. Not entirely sure what they do there, though.
no just rain. very boring.
i never did dry out. i did washing so the room was very damp, then it rained again on the way in this morning and i also washied my hair. so i have just about dried out now, bit i seem to still be cold.
I need to wash hair, but was tired last night and had 9am lecture, and so will have to go and get wet now.
i'm getting fed up with washing my hair, cos i have to do it in the sink as the shower is only really useful for washing your body in. i am tempted to cut it all off really really short. but i am lothe to do it because it grows really slowly and is really fine. this means that unless it is liong there is no weight pulling on it and it just all sticks up in the air and i looks like a derranged and half bald gerbil.....with yellow fur. not pretty. i need to get a job in 18 months so i need to be respectable for then so i cant really cut the damn stuff off.
I have thick hair (and curly too, so it stricks up anyway) but I'm wanting to grow it so I can have fairy-princess hair.
ooooooooooooooo pretty. you could put sparkles in it too!
Yep, but it'll take a while before it's that sort of length.
And it would require heavy-duty conditioning.
Don't be. I'd like stright hair (as do all who have hair that is curly but not enough, and not in a ordered sort of way)
if you grow it the wieght might dragg it down a bit........but then it will go frizzy at the bottom.
i know. shave your head!
No, that doesn't work, it's nasty, I just have to make the most of the hair I have.
