Notrom, when you're putting in links to entries in a conversation, all you have to do is put in the A number like this: A2310517

I forgot to add A2328987 - Tanzania

I'd like to do Namibia, then that's it for the country entries for the moment - too much work trying to get a balanced entry together.

Great entry on a subject that is close to my heart. Maps have always been a passion of mine. A couple points come to mind that might improve your entry without adding too much;

Early maps, before the perfection of a portable time piece (the chronometer) are quite accurate north and south but have considerable error east and west due the inability of the explores to accurately place their position in this direction.

Also;

George Washington, the 'Father' of the US, greatest general and first President, was by profession a surveyor and map maker before he became famous. He was part of the team that mapped the 'Mason-Dixon' Line that became the border for most of the American Civil War.

Hey folks. I'm a new guy I know, but I've put my article on my hometown (Bend, Oregon, USA) in Peer Review.

It's at A2929872

Critique would be fantastic.

FS... I'll respond to those in the thread in PR if that's okay? Too complicated having two threads on one topic headhurts

I have an entry in PR now about the town of Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Might still need some work because it's leaning towards the camp-staff perspective... I'd appreciate any feedback (Jimi X, I know PA is usually your turf, but hey, you didn't write about this place yet smiley ).

Entry at A2947881, PR thread at F48874?thread=484413

I am starting a massive entry on Yellowstone, but it's such a huge subject that I needed to break it out into parts- the first two are human history: Prehistoric and exploration. I'll do one later on Yellowstone after the park was established, another on the geysers and geology, at least one on the Yellowstone Wolves, and maybe more than that. But for now, help me get these two through Peer Review! They are:

A2899443
A3061135

Thanks a million!

You think that's massive, eh? The United States of America A2965133 is now in the Update Forum. It's not much of a geographic entry - because writing a geographic-focused entry on the USA is like opening Pandora's Box... but I thought I'd mention it.

There's one on Bury St Edmunds that might benefit from a few pairs of eyes looking at it... A1922069 if anyone's got a minute.

I've just been taking stock of entries that have been going through PR and into the EG over the last few months and it seems there's been a fair few geographical entries been going on while I was looking the other way.

The vast majority of which were created by the fair hand of certain people within our ranks - or who have since come to join our ranks. Big slaps on the back all round, I reckon.

This is everything else that I've just spotted in PR at the moment, much of it written by some of your good selves...

A3164906 - Yellowstone National Park, USA- Part III: The Park Years
A2315602 - Buses in Bristol, UK
A2986680 - Tartu, Estonia - Where to Eat
A2864694 - Aberdeen's Cafe Culture
A2991558 - Tucson
A2964224 - Ston Easton Park
A3382328 - Upminster
A2812105 - Washington State, USA
A3193986 - The Coledale Inn, Braithwaite
A3261746 - Japanese Toilets
A3154880 - European Cities in Ohio, USA
A3353294 - The Georgia Guidestones
