I don't actually know why I'm so anxious, but I sent my UCAS application form on Saturday (great to be able to do this online) and I'm now waiting for a reply. I have a wonderful reference from a colleague and I think my statement is good, my grades should definitely get me there... so not sure why I'm nervous. But I am. Which is good, because it shows I want this.
For my non-UK friends, UCAS in the organisation that takes care of all college and university applications in the UK and transfers them on (if they think they make the grade) to the specific institutions one chooses to study in. 2 institutions in my case.

I was really disappointed that I didn't get into LSE, even after an interview, but happy that I got into Kingston (Surrey, not Hull or Jamaica). Hope you get the uni that you want and that you have an excellent time ... I did and look back fondly!!
Thanks, einmoto. I would like both, for different reasons- one is closer, but offers a 4 year course, the other is further away but offers a 3 year course and NO exams! the first one has been around longer and has more experience in teaching, the other has Teaching qualifications as its main speciality (Teaching and Nursing) but started as a college, and has only become a university in 2005, methinks... so both have good and bad sides to them. I know my mind's set for the second one, but would be happy in the first too.
When are you expecting a reply? Any news?
What's the betting that both places reply, that would be a tough call. The first one sounds better from a career point of view, I have a feeling it would carry more weight when applying for posts.
No news yet, though I did get a card from the 4 years course one to say they're considering my application, which they didn't really have to do. They have until May to reply, and I have to apply for a Student Loan in March. How does THAT make sense??? I'm running around like a headless chick(en) so not much time to be nervous. But I do check my email on a daily basis. Silly really, I know.
