Just a quick moan: The weather station in Bristol is in Filton. This is where I am.

As of right now (14:10) the weather forecast says that at 13:00hrs, we should have been experiencing heavy showers, carrying on through 15:00hrs.

I've not felt so much as a spot of rain, and it's only just become a little bit overcast, the blue skies were still very visible at around 13:40!

So whoever is on duty isn't checking out the window!!!

Looking out the window rolleyes

Don't you know that the weather is all about what comes out of a machine, it's got nothing to do with the sky and such! I know this is true because met service in NZ took out all the local weather stations (that had actual people in them) and replaced them with machines.

We got snow here today, 12 hours ahead of schedule. Very pretty.

Ooh! Snow! i'd love a sprinkle of snow right now. It'd be most refreshing!

Incidentally, while I dont have snow to look forward to, i am looking forward to the Japanese Drummers we have headlining at the pub tonight... It'd be great if they were followed by a fantastic thunderstorm!!!

cross

It was apparently updated at 13:20 this afternoon, the weather observation station is clearly stating different details to those on the 'forecast'.

Currently:

Temp: 27C
Wind: 6mph
Hum: 43%

Forecasts for 13:00 and 16:00 respectively:

Temp: 22C - 20C
Wind: 3mph - 3mph
Hum: 74% - 93%

Hmm....
