I have two comments on how the h2g2 project might be enhanced:
1) "Life, The Universe, Everything" should possibly have added to it "h2g2 itself". The history of the project and all questions about its movement forward, including by the querist, could be answered here.
2) Since there is always a need for updating a good fraction of the Entries,it might be a good idea to make the process a more intimate part of the project by having at least one person devoted to maintaining a public queue of suggested and recently implemented updates.
