Any chance of getting QOTD back rather than QOTW (which seems pointless to me) QOTD livened up convos and gave a chortle most days. Now I've totally forgotten about the 'quote' thing and rarely visit the Front Page.

There could be a thread onto which one could put suggestions.

Is there an archive of QOTD/QOTW entries knocking about?

And if not, should we start one?

I'll email you the GML for what we've had so far. There've been four: the cage fighting buddhist poet, Robbie's comment on the G & S thread, then 3dots on qotd, then Mu Beta on drugs.

Does anyone know how to directly reference a specific post in an entry?

I'm trying, for example F19585?thread=8283421#p110456804 but despite having the right pnumber goes to the start of the thread.

And I can't use F19585?thread=8283421&skip=20#p110456804 as it complains about an 'Illegal use of ampersand' when I try to update it.

Try

F19585?thread=8283421&latest=1

and, when using links in an entry, you always need to use &
